Coming off a three-game loss the North Caddo Titans faced the AAAA powerhouse Bolton Bears and took care of business 20-16.
The Titans set the pace when sophomore Aiden Brock stripped the ball on the first play of the game. The Titans took took the ball 27 yards in four plays, and with 1:24 into the game QB Zion King scored on a 2 yard run.
The Bears would answer tying the game at 8-8. The Bears would score in the second quarter taking the lead 16-8 with 9:18 to go in the half.
On the their next possession King would hit Omarion Miller for a 57 yard touchdown pass and with 7:13 to go in the half the Titans trailed the Bears 16-14.
On their next possession the Bears would fumble the ball giving it back to the Titans. King would find his go to receiver Omarion Miller again for a 37 yard TD pass.
At the half the Titans led the Bears 20-16. After receiving the kickoff starting the second half the Titans were forced to punt. The Bears would begin a 90 yard drive down the field that took over 11 minutes off the clock. The Bears found themselves on the one yard line with a first and goal. The Titan defense stopped the Bears and took over on downs.
North Caddo began to drive the ball down the field running out the clock but would turn the ball over on downs with less than 2 minutes to play in the game. The Bears deep in their own territory and being out of timeouts wouldn’t be able to advance the ball against the Titan defense.
The Titans would retake possession of the ball and run out the clock handing Bolton their first loss of the season. The Titans broke a three-game losing streak just before they go into district.
