The North Caddo Titans traveled to Sibley to fave their district rivals, the Lakeside Warriors.
The last time the two teams met was in the first round of the AA playoffs last year. The lower seeded Warriors upset the Titans ending their season. This matchup would not have the same ending.
The Titans took the first possession of the game and began moving the ball down the field. The drive would soon end with a turnover taking away the opportunity for the Titans to strike first. The The Warriors, however, would be forced to punt after a three and out. Starting on their own 17 yard line the Titans began an 83 yard drive toward the end zone. Quarterback Zion King would complete the drive with a 54 yard TD run.
With 1:26 to go in the 1st quarter the Titans led the Warriors 8-0. The rest of the game would all Titans. The Titans scored 4 touchdowns in the 2nd quarter. Charzay Morris hit Omarion Miller for a 68 yard TD pass and added another when he hit KJ Black for a 43 yarder.
Zion King showed his throwing ability when he threw a 35 yard TD pass to Omarion Miller. King would also take the ball 49 yards on a 1 play dive for another Titan TD. At the half the Titans led the Warriors 36-0. The Titans scored one more touchdown in the second half on a 19 yard pass from Morris to Damarcus Williams.
While the Titan offense was busy exerting their dominance against the Warrior defense, the Titan defense held the Warriors to less than 100 yards total offense forcing them to put 8 times and kept them from finding the endzone.
The North Caddo Titans are 1-0 in district play and 3-3 for the season. The Titans travel to Jonesboro Hodge next week for a game that could decide which team will be the 2020 district champions.
