
Music City Texas Theater will have Rhonda Vincent, an American Bluegrass/country singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, perform June 25.
Rhonda is a seven-time Grammy nominee, winning the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2017. In 2020, she was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Rhonda was born in Kirksville, Missouri and a fifth-generation musician. At the age of 5 she started singing gospel songs with her family’s band. By the time she was eight she was playing the mandolin, and later added the fiddle to her list of instruments by the > time she was 12.
Vincent’s life and love of music evolved into a successful career in bluegrass music after being discovered by Grand Ole Opry star “Jim Ed Brown.”
Rhonda shared the stage with great stars such as Gene Watson, Daryl Singletary, and Dolly Parton.
Rhonda Vincent and her band The Rage is the most awarded band in blue grass history. To date they have won one Grammy, nineteen (19) IBMA Awards (including top Entertainer of the Year honor in 2001 and consecutive Female Vocalist of year wins between 2000 and > 2006) and eighty SPBGMA Awards.
