The North Caddo High Titans boys varsity basketball improved their upcoming playoff seeding by beating 3-A Loyola Monday at the Titan’s gym 79-75.
The Titans were led by Omarion Miller who scored 31 points, James Jackson poured in 14 and Zatraveon Rainey had thirteen.
Titan’s Coach said his team made things happen Monday
“Tonight’s victory was affirmation to the boys that when they buy in to collective defense and truly playing as a team by looking for the assist that can be made before the shot is made, great things can and will happen,” North Caddo Titan’s boys varsity basketball coach Gideon Scarbrough said .
The Titans are a 2-A program. Therefore, by getting the win against 3-A Loyola, The Titan’s will move us up in playoff seeding.
“We won a game against a well coached and defensively scrappy team of great 3pt shooters and this was all in part due to a great group of North Caddo boys with positive attitudes and loads of confidence who are placing their team first realizing that success comes about from team work and the adulation that comes with winning is the ice cream with the slice of pie,” Coach Scarbrough said. “Coach Dennis my assistant, and I have really set a tone of selfless team first play that is starting to see some ROI.”
The North Caddo boys and girls varsity teams will play tonight (February 9th) at Lakeside.
The North Caddo Titans boys and girls next home game is Friday night at the Titan’s gym. It will be senior night. The Titan’s girls game will start at 6 p.m. followed by the boys game. Both of the games will be broadcasted live on K-104.1 FM and 1320 AM in Vivian, LA. Joey Grappe will announce the games on the radio.
