The North Caddo Rebels earned a district championship Friday night on the road with a 42-20 thumping of D’Arbonne Woods, atD’Arbonne Woods.

It didn’t take long for the Rebels to set the pace of the game against the Timberwolves.
The Rebels kicked off first but the Timberwolves muffed the kick and the Rebels recovered.  It took only two plays for quarterback Jayden Carter to connect with Cole Copeland for a 12 yard TD pass.

Morris would take it in for the conversion and with only 47 second expired in the first quarter the Rebels had the lead 8-0. This was only the beginning of sorrows for the Timberwolves. On their next possession Charzay Morris would score his first of 3 TD’s of the night with a 16 yard run.

The Timberwolves would find the enzone early in the second quarter bringing the score to 14-6 Rebels. This would be their only score against the Rebel defense, the Choppa Boys”.
The Rebels found the enzone for the third time from a 23 yard run from Morris with 3:30 to go in the first half. The Rebels led 22-6; however, they weren’t finished. Morris would find the enzone a third time with 1:22 left in the half. The Rebels were still not finished. Nicholas Henderson intercepted the Timberwolf quarterback and returned it 32 yards for the pick six with :34 left in the half. At the end of the first half the Rebels led the Tmberwolves 34-6.
The Rebels began the second half on offense. Jayden Carter would throw his second TD pass of the game connecting with LJ Dixon for a 25 yard score in the just 30 seconds into the half.  With the score 42-6 Coach Kavenagh pulled the first team out and turned to the under classmen. It would be the first time many of them played in a Friday night game under the Friday night lights. The Timberwolves scored twice in the fourth quarter against a tough younger defense. On the offensive side, freshman KJ Black was impressive. He carried the ball 4 times for a total of 45 yards.
At the final buzzer the score NC Rebels 42, the Timberwolves 20.
With the win against the Timberwolves the NC Rebels closed out the regular season 7-2 overall and 3-0 in district. The Rebels are officially the undisputed undefeated in district, District Champions. The NC Rebels clinched homefield advantage for the first round of the class AA playoffs and will play next Friday night at Sanders Prudhomme stadium. Congradulations Rebels for a job well done.
